What inspires you and what you do? The children I teach always inspire me! Their responses to life are fascinating and honest. The mind of a child and their appetite to know more, especially about the things that interest them most, is a precious thing.
What do you love most about Skippers?
Skippers is a truly happy school. I love the vibrancy of its culture, and the freedom it gives the children to explore who they are.
Who was your most inspirational or influential teacher? Mr Davies, my Year 6 teacher, was both inspirational and influential. His teaching style was a wonderful mix of traditional and unorthodox, making him a character no one could ignore or ever forget. Outwardly he was reserved, strict and largely unsmiling, but he had the gift of drawing out the very best in each and every child in his class. He was an educator to his core. He also had a wicked sense of humour, and huge charisma, making him someone I remember with affection, respect and gratitude to have been taught by him.
