Admissions Process

At Skippers, the Admissions team pride ourselves in realising the importance and enormity of choosing the right school for your child and we aim to be there for you at every stage of the journey and to make it as seamless  and informed as possible.

1. Request a Prospectus

If you would like to request a copy of our prospectus, please complete our Prospectus Form above, or contact the School Office. An online version of the prospectus is also available to download once the Prospectus Form has been completed.

2.  Follow up call

Your enquiry will be followed up with a telephone call to answer any questions you may have and invite you in to visit the school.

3. Visit the School

The best way to know whether the school will be right for your child is to come and visit us, meet our Headmaster, Mr Phillip Makhouli  and to see the school in action.

You can either sign up for our next Open Event,  or if you would like to visit the school before then, we can arrange for you to have a meeting with Mr Makhouli and have a personalised tour of the school.

Simply complete our short online form and a member of the Admissions team will be in touch.

4. Registration

Following your visit, we suggest that children are registered as soon as possible as we currently have waiting lists for several year groups. We ask that you kindly complete our Registration Form  and return it along with payment of £50.00 payable via BACS to the school.

5. Taster Days

For all children entering the School in Year 1 and above, we ask that they join us for a Taster Day.

The day will be tailored to help ensure your child gets the most out of their day. They will be assigned a buddy, meet new friends and get the chance to see what life at Skippers would be like. We carry out an informal assessment during the day and also ask that the latest two School reports form the child’s current school are sent to us in advance. Offers for places at the school are made following a Taster Day.

6. Acceptance

If your child is offered a place at the school, a completed Acceptance Form as well as a copy of your child’s birth certificate should be sent to the school within 14 days. We also require a £250.00 deposit which will be returned when your child leaves Skippers, subject to any outstanding amounts.

The receipt of your completed form, full deposit and copy of birth certificate confirms acceptance and will close the place to other children.

Advice and Support

We are always very happy to support you in your application process; if you have any questions however silly they may seem, please do get in touch with the team.
