What led you to teaching?
I studied history and have always loved learning. That curiosity led me into teaching, where I enjoy bringing lessons to life and helping children discover their own passions. I see each child as an individual and endeavour to create happy, engaging learning environments where they can thrive. I’ve also had the pleasure of learning from some amazing teachers along the way, which continues to inspire how I teach.

What inspires you and what you do?
I’m inspired by the uniqueness of every child and the different ways they learn and grow. I believe that when children feel understood, supported, and happy, their confidence naturally follows. Building strong, trusting relationships is at the heart of what I do, alongside creating a positive, fun environment where children can thrive and truly enjoy learning.

What do you love most about Skippers?
What I love most about Skippers is the strong sense of community and the family feel. There’s always a real buzz, with happy, engaged children, and a real sense of fun in everything that’s done. I value the focus on building positive relationships, as I think they’re key to helping children feel secure and confident. I also really enjoy the opportunity to be outdoors so much.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I coach my son’s rugby team. I love swimming, being outdoors, and walking my very energetic cocker spaniel. I love going to the theatre, which is something I love sharing with my eldest son, who is very theatrical. Most importantly, I really value spending time with my young family.
