Katherine Marsh

What led you to teaching?

I have always enjoyed helping people and feel a huge amount of satisfaction when progress is made.  Prior to my journey to teaching PE I trained to teach outdoor activities.

What inspires you and what you do?

I am inspired to create an environment where both boys and girls are immersed in a wide variety of sports/activities as I believe there is a sport for everyone.  As well as bettering my skills and experiences.

What do you love most about Skippers?

I was first attracted to Skippers because of its unique family feel and its friendly staff and children.  From the moment I stepped into Skippers at my interview I was delighted by the positivity and kindness shared by all.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

My main sport is trampolining which I started at the age of six and completed up to gold level.  I enjoy participating in many sports and consider myself a bit of a dabbler.  My background and main interests are in outdoor adventurous activities including stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing, hiking and bushcraft.  I have fairly recently found a love/hate relationship with wild swimming (as long as I have my wetsuit!).
