What led you to teaching?
I have always loved learning but, as a child, I found school challenging. I wanted to become a teacher to create a positive learning experience for children & to give them the time, space & experiences that they need to be the best version of themselves.
What inspires you and what you do?
Ken Robinson was a great educationalist who always reminds me why I went into teaching. I love watching his TED Talks. I am also inspired by all of the other amazing teachers & TAs around Skippers- we have the best bunch!
What do you love most about Skippers?
Skippers is definitely my second family. I walk in in the morning & I am greeted with smiles, stories & excitement. You can’t beat it.
If you weren’t a teacher what would you be?
My back up career was always to be an astronaut. I’m glad I didn’t pursue that one, I get awful travel sickness!
