Amy Ellison

What led you to teaching?
As part of my degree I volunteered in a nursery for children with special educational needs. Teaching these children and watching their faces light up was so rewarding; I knew I had found my vocation.

What inspires you and what you do?

Every day the children are learning and changing. Knowing that I am part of their progression feels amazing and makes me want to do this more and more!

What do you love most about Skippers?

We are all so happy here! I also love that we are just that little bit quirky and different from other schools – fits my personality perfectly 🙂

Tell us a fun fact about yourself

I love singing and dancing and have performed in many plays and pantomimes. I really enjoyed performing as Cinderella but my favourite was playing Peter Pan, especially during the sword fights with Captain Hook!
