The Douglas Family

Karan and Andrew:

"Skippers really worked for us as a family. Sophie spent the first 10 years of her educational life there, from kindergarten through to senior school, in an environment we felt to be both nurturing and academically stretching. Sophie was also encouraged to pursue creative and sports activities and it was important to us that all these elements were present in her education.

On top of this both Sophie, and we as parents, felt and actually still do feel even though Sophie has graduated from Skippers, part of the Skippers ‘family’, which is why we elected for Sophie to stay at Skippers to age 13, to give her what we considered to be the best possible start into her secondary education."

Sophie:

"I really enjoyed my time at Skippers. The academic department was outstanding and supportive during my exams. The PE department was equally good, pushing me to my physical peak but not so much that it was unbearable. The creative side of the school let us express ourselves freely through art, music and drama. The only annoyance I have is that I wish I were in the junior school now because of all the fun school trips they get to participate in.

All school trips throughout the school were fun yet educational and the teachers made sure they included and interested everyone in all activities. I must mention my headmaster and teachers and thank them for all the help in preparing for my new school!"
