Posted: 17th October 2017 | Category: Year 4
On Wednesday 4th October, Year 4 visited Kent Life in Maidstone for a Viking theme day. The day was packed full of different workshops and activities which has helped to consolidate their learning in History lessons at school.
"We learnt how Vikings lived. I enjoyed it because I learnt loads of new things like they cooked bones and washed in a lake." Grace Mercer
"Then, we went on a Viking voyage which I thought was really fun." Hollie-Mae
"After that, we did trading...my favourite part was going up to see the things they sold." Grace Hazan
"Later on, we got to be a Viking raider and learnt how to fight like a Viking." Vincent Marten.
"Then, we played Tafl, it is a bit like chess. We went into groups and played against each other, I was really fun." Zoey Wood
It was a super learning experience for the children and I was delighted with their excellent behaviour and involvement in the workshops.
Well done, Year 4!
