What a wonderful start to 2018

Posted: 12th January 2018 | Category: Headmaster's Blog

What a wonderful start to 2018: every child has been thoroughly engaged in our wellbeing activities this week and as I write, Year 7 are busy learning their massage and de-stressing techniques with a smile and a giggle. Add to this our mindfulness workshops, nutrition assembly, art therapy and our digital detox: the new year has started with firm purpose!

We have captured some moments on camera from our first week back, which I hope you will enjoy looking at in our Photo Galleries.

This afternoon the senior pupils are running an afternoon tea for the local villagers with home-made cakes and biscuits, along with several performances to boot. As part of our Challenge Award for the senior pupils, this element of service benefits those in our community as well as our own pupils' personal development.

Well done to all the children and staff for making it such a successful week and an encouraging start to 2018.

How many of you will be able to complete our Digital Detox challenge, I wonder?

Happy New Year!

Best wishes,

Mark Hammond.
