Taking advantage of a beautiful sunny morning
Posted: 2nd March 2016 | Category: Reception
Taking advantage of a beautiful sunny morning, Reception decided to take up Mr Hammond's challenge to find 10 signs of Spring. Like intrepid explorers we set off down the fields and in to the woods, finding many more than 10 signs of Spring over the course of the morning. The children took their learning further, into the realms of den building, animal tracking, team sports (playing hockey with sticks and a rounders ball found in the undergrowth) and imaginative role play - stories involving Santa's reindeer, fairies and dragons were concocted and evolved as our time in the woodland progressed!
