Reception Prepare for ‘MyDidThat’ Art Exhibition

In Reception, we have had a wonderful time exploring colour, learning about artists and experimenting with different art techniques, as we began creating art to display in our upcoming exhibition art exhibition in association with ‘MyDidThat’, which will take place at Skippers Hill School on Monday 10th February from 11:00am to 6:30pm.

We were all very interested in looking at the marks made by American artist, Jackson Pollock, in his dynamic drip paintings and we were delighted to be able to enthusiastically splash paint across paper to create our own drip paintings.

We experimented with colour-washing using Brusho ink on absorbent watercolour paper.  We each enjoyed choosing the coloured card that we thought would work best with the colour of the ink we were using.

We have enjoyed creating some beautifully vibrant paintings and cannnot wait to show them off to visitors to the exhibition on Monday 10th February.
