Mr Men and Little Miss books prove popular with all ages!

Posted: 4th July 2013 | Category: Year 4

This term the children in Year 4 have been inventing Mr Men and Little Miss characters and writing and illustrating their own books. Some of the ideas included Mr French (an artist), Mr Spike (a runner), Little Miss Sing Song (an annoying prima donna), Mr Pizza (could throw discus for Britain) and Mr Fashionable (it’s sooo yesterday!).

Once the books were finished the children headed for the Year 1 classroom and spent a thoroughly enjoyable hour sharing their stories with the younger children. View photos of the children reading to Year 1 here.

A nice touch to the activity was that some of the current Year 4s remember being on the receiving end of the Mr Men books when they were in Year 1, making the whole project that little bit more special!
