Hands-on in their history work
Posted: 17th September 2014 | Category: Year 5
Year Five has made a cracking start to the year and has been getting creative and hands-on in their history work! We started the term off by looking at how we know about the past, exploring different types of historical evidence and putting on our historical detective caps to analyse sources from the past. Some of the children excelled themselves by bringing in a range of artefacts from the past and sharing them with the class; others got busy making, baking and sticking and we now have a bright and informative display in the classroom to help remind us about these key words and concepts. Great work … now onwards (well, backwards) to Ancient Rome! Watch this space for more exciting events to come!
