Future School Development

Posted: 27th April 2018 | Category: Headmaster's Blog

I am delighted that work has started on renovating and refurbishing the swimming pool, something that the pupil and parent community have been seeking for some time. After 35 years, the previous canopy had finally given up the ghost and we are all looking forward to the sparkling upgrade! The children have been thrilled with the time-limited offer of open air swimming at Skippers, particularly in the glorious heat of last week. Was that our summer, I wonder?

I was very pleased with the response to the parent survey in February, the highlights of which were published in yesterday's Week Ahead. The school continues to receive positive feedback as well as implementing change that impacts positively on both pupils and parents. A number of initiatives have been directly in response to parental feedback.

One area for consideration is the manner in which the school communicates its development priorities and, in addition to our current bi-annual briefing for parent representatives, we are developing a new section of our website so that all in the community are able to see where we have come from and where we are going in the future. Watch this space!

Mark Hammond.
