Everything running smoothly and calmly in Year 6

Posted: 16th September 2015 | Category: Year 6

I was delighted to welcome all Year 6 children to their new Form on Monday morning. We were blessed with lovely weather for our first week back and everyone seemed full of beans.

I hope that I am not tempting fate, but our first week was remarkably smooth-running and calm! The children are becoming used to their new - and demanding - timetable and most seem to have their lockers and bags in order.

We have several exciting events this term, one of which is something I dare say you would all love to do: we are going to Glyndebourne to see Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”: a real ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity. I took some children 2 years ago and it was an amazing experience - not to be missed. We also have a visit to the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne followed by a ceramics workshop at Eastbourne College.

So. Lots to look forward to - it will be half-term before we know it!
