Celebrating Chinese New Year
Posted: 10th March 2015 | Category: Year 3, Year 4
Just before half term, the children in Year 3 were treated to a day of arts and crafts linked with Chinese New Year. Tilly’s grandmother, Jackie, kindly organised many different activities for the children; they made Chinese fans, wrote some mandarin, painted and made a Chinese dragon, as well as learning a Chinese dance. The children finished the day studying some mandarin phrases with Mrs Harvey. After half term, the class got into costume and shared their work with the rest of the school in an assembly. The children had a fabulous time and our thanks go to Jackie and Pauline (Suzie’s mum) for their time and enthusiasm.
