Next story: The special community that is Skippers Hill
A memorable, productive and rewarding term
Posted: 13th December 2017 | Category: Headmaster's Blog
I have been delighted with the visible signs of effort in the classroom this term, with each child producing so much excellent work across the curriculum, making real progress and smiling at the same time! Reading through the reports, it is clear that our pupils are engaged and positive in their learning.
It has also been a wonderful term of sport with 100% of children representing the school across the term. Every child has taken part in a workshop, excursion, club, performance, class assembly or special event, incorporating a great range of creative and performing arts as well as several charitable and community events. All of this is what makes Skippers such a special place to study and work and enables each individual child to make the most of his or her interests, abilities and potential.
As well as all this, the staff have taken part in a significant range of training events this term…as if they weren’t busy enough! I would like to express my particular thanks to the teaching, office and domestic staff for pulling out all the stops this term and making it memorable, highly productive and very rewarding. A well earned holiday for all involved in our community.
Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a restful break when it arrives.
Best wishes
Mark Hammond.
