A Great Start to the Academic Year
Posted: 19th September 2019 | Category: Headmaster's Blog
Wow! What a great start to the new academic year and what a busy time. It is wonderful to see each child settled back in school and making the most of everything on offer.
As I write we are drawing to the end of our inspection and I am very grateful for the hard work of the teachers, the excellent engagement and behaviour of the children and the ongoing support from our parent community. It will be several weeks before we are able to publish the final outcomes from our visit but early signs are encouraging and there will be many areas to celebrate as the school continues to develop and progress.
Overall we had over 200 parental responses to the ISI survey and I am extremely grateful that we have provided a truly representative view of the school’s strengths to the inspectorate. A few highlights:
- 100% of parents feel that the school offers a good range of subjects
- 99% feel that the school helps your children develop skills for the future
- 99% of you believe that the school actively promotes the values of democracy, respect and tolerance of others
- 99% think that the school helps your children to become confident and independent
- 98% believe that the teaching at the school helps your children make progress
On average, 97% of parents Agree or Strongly Agree with the 22 statements listed in the survey: a hugely positive result and I am delighted that the work being done at the school to deliver a high quality education is being valued and enjoyed by so many in our community.
Best wishes,
Mark Hammond.
