Years 7 and 8’s Midsummer Night’s Dream
Posted: 23rd July 2013
Children in Years 7 and 8 performed their adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (adapted from the Shakespeare 4 Kidz A Midsummer Night's Dream by Julian Chenery, Matt Gimblett and William Shakespeare) to packed audiences at the end of term.
Parents and families were treated to two spectacular evening shows, performed outdoors in the school grounds.
Kate Alexander, English Coordinator, said: “The children and staff have all worked extremely hard and we were delighted that we could perform outside in our lovely grounds.”
Miss Alexander continued: “This was a hugely ambitious production and the weather and use of outdoor microphones gave us some technical challenges, but the audience loved it and both performances were spectacular.”
