Year One Enjoy Bread Making
Posted: 7th June 2012 | Category: Year 1
Year One have been learning about the Great Fire of London, which started in a bakers shop in Pudding Lane so they thought it would be fun to make some bread rolls!
On Friday 27th April, the children worked in small groups to make their bread.
They learnt how to:
Make the bread dough,
knead it,
let it rise,
and then shape the dough into bread rolls before sending them down to the kitchen to be put in the oven.
Each child took home three bread rolls to enjoy and share with their family.
For their next project, Year One are collecting shoe boxes to make fire engines! Any shoebox donations would be greatly appreciated. Please deliver to the Year One classroom.
