Year 6 visit Amex stadium

Posted: 10th December 2014 | Category: Year 6

On Thursday, 4th December, Mr O'C and Miss Alexander accompanied Year 6 on a visit to the AMEX Community Stadium (home to Brighton & Hove Albion FC). As part of their Geography studies, Year 6 studies the placing of sports stadia around the country: are they on appropriate sites; do they fit in well with the local geographical features, and are they well-placed for the local community?

We were taken on a tour of the stadium and felt very privileged to have sat in the players' dressing room, walked beside the pitch, climbed to the highest seats and seen where they take ice-baths!

The trip was extremely useful for the class and very enjoyable for all. We look forward to visiting the AMEX again – this time to see a match!

SEEEEA ….GUUUUULLLSS!!
