Year 6 girls compete in Hever Castle Triathlon

Posted: 10th November 2015 | Category: Sports, Year 6

A report written by Isobel Knight and Sarah Grose Year 6

We were taking part in the Hever Castle Triathlon competing in the 11-12 relay.
Sarah was doing the swim, Izzy was cycling and Charlotte (Izzy's friend) ran.
Sarah swam the 200 metres in a freezing open lake in the time of 7 minutes 15 seconds which lead us to a quick start.  Izzy cycled 4km (2.5 miles) in a time of 18 minutes 11 seconds which produced a good time and we were in contention for a podium place so the pressure was on. Charlotte's turn to run 2km which resulted in a time of 14 minutes 11 seconds.  We ended up coming 5th. Individually Izzy came 4th, Sarah 5th and Charlotte 6th and we all got a PB.
Well done team!
A huge thank you to parent and siblings for getting us there and supporting the team!
