Year 5 uncover the secrets of Fishbourne Palace
Posted: 8th November 2017 | Category: Year 5

The Fishbourne trip is a highlight of the Autumn term for me, as it is so fantastic to see the children getting really stuck in to ancient Roman activities. This year, we did an archaeology session, where Year 5 were learning how clues are unravelled by experts and having a go at being experts themselves.
Children also tried writing, building, cooking and playing using Roman techniques and equipment, working out how games and tools might have worked. I hope you enjoy the pictures of some of the mosaics and writing the children produced and in particular, Prince Oli and Princess Lizzie with Head Slave, Mr Minister! Thank you very much to Mr Clay, Ms Chimenis, Mrs Hare and Mr Price for helping on the day.
