Year 5 and 6 girls enjoy Textile Workshop at Moira House
Posted: 2nd March 2016
On Tuesday 23rd February, Year 5&6 girls were invited to Moira House in Eastbourne for a Textile Workshop.
It was such a glorious day and the journey down to the coast was very pretty.
Using the work of textiles artist Michael Brennand-Wood for inspiration, the girls set to work colouring, threading, cutting and sewing. They each created the ‘shooting stars’ that you can see in the pictures and, although everyone was working on exactly the same project, every one was completely unique.
Sewing machines were a first for some of the girls and all of them created some lovely stitching on their bright and elaborately designed creations.
