Year 3 went on a trip to Kent Life to learn about the Stone Age.
They were explorers for the day, piecing together clues about the past to find out about how people lived in the Stone Age. They found out about how people traded goods, the weapons they used to hunt and protect themselves and how people went from being hunter-gatherers to farmers.
The children also participated in lots of hands-on workshops including grinding grain to make flour, cave painting and a role play of a sacrifice ritual. A real highlight was meeting Claw - a real Stone Age tribe member!
