Year 1 Visit to Bodiam Castle
by Tiana
At Bodiam there was a moat that was 3 metres deep. There was a drawbridge. There was a portcullis. The portcullis was metal. There were ducks. We got a quill and a postcard. We had fun. We tried on armour. There was chain mail. We went up steep steps. The moat was smelly. When we got back to school we were very tired. Thank you, Miss Bakewell.

Yesterday we went to Bodiam Castle. We had fun. We got to try helmets on. We saw a well it was very dirty. The water was very dirty. We climbed some very steep stone spiral scary steps. A lady called Helen showed us around. I never knew the chain mail was so heavy. I loved it. Thank you, Miss Bakewell. We got a toy! The toy was a feather that writes. The well was deep.
