Year 1 visit ‘Young at Heart’ Friends

Year 1 visit ‘Young at Heart’ Friends

On Tuesday 24th September, Year 1 visited Heathfield Community Club to take part in The Young at Heart Project.

The Young at Heart organisation is a club for the elderly integrated with the local primary schools. The children and members have a chance to take part in an activity which will suit both generations!

During our visit, the children decorated cakes with the members of the club. They had so much fun being creative and working as a team! The cakes were brought back to school and sold by our Year 1's in aid of Macmillan Coffee Morning. We raised over £100, with all proceeds going to Macmillan!

Thank you to everyone who bought a cake and well done to Year 1 for being super bakers and cake sellers!
