U11 team success at IAPS Netball Tournament
Posted: 21st March 2014 | Category: Sports
On 6th March, Skippers Hill’s U11 Netball Team had great fun under beautiful sunshine by a sparkling English Channel, at the IAPS Tournament held at Roedean School.
This was a huge and exciting event in which 64 schools from London, Kent and Sussex took part. Our squad played seven matches out of which we won four. This is a fantastic achievement in light of the fact we were by far one of, if not the smallest school attending with a team that was topped up with players from the year below.
Our wins included: Surbiton, St Andrews, Eaton House and Cumnor House.
Well done girls for an admirable sense of team spirit, with constant energy and enthusiasm throughout a long, tiring but rewarding day by the Sussex coast.
We did indeed ‘punch above our weight’!
