U11 Netball Tournament at St Michaels

Posted: 2nd March 2016 | Category: Sports

The U11's plus two U10's set off today for the St Michaels Tournament to take on some big Kent schools in a series of five matches. Having entered the A section, we knew a tough afternoon had been made tougher with two of the team unable to play. Spirits remained positive and the sun shone!

We played Hazelwood, St Michaels, Kings Rochester, Sutton Valence and Kent College. Our hardest match was against Kent College who were all tall, strong players. However, for the rest of the matches the scores were close, we beat Kings Rochester and only lost to Hazelwood the eventual winners of our section by one goal which says it all!
Well done girls for such a good spirited afternoon during which each and every one of you put in an enormous effort.  Player of the tournament goes to Ruby for her fabulous and effective movement as GK!
