Tom wins three first places at the Mid Sussex Music Festival

Tom wins three first places at the Mid Sussex Music Festival

Congratulations to Tom W in Year 5, who recently took part in the annual Mid Sussex Competitive Music Festival.

Tom won three first places, including two for cello and one for singing. He gained "Distinction" in four classes and "Commended" in one. Furthermore, Tom performed a Grade 8 cello piece (Bach Suite 1, Prelude in G Major) and that performance along with the rest of his cello pieces, earned him the "Clematis Cup", awarded to the best Under 11 solo cellist or double bass player.

Tom played some of his cello pieces last Tuesday as the School came in to assembly. Watch our short video below:
