The Choir Takes Part in ‘Young Voices’ at the O2 Arena

Posted: 6th February 2013

Members of Skippers Hill’s School Choir from Years 5 to 8 travelled to the O2 to take part in the ‘Young Voices’ Concert.

8000 children filled one end of the arena and practised songs and actions all afternoon.  For several of the songs they were joined by soloists, one of whom was Connie Talbot – runner up of 2008 Britain’s Got Talent.

The children also had the privilege of singing Gary Barlow’s jubilee song with the fabulous African Children’s Choir.

Parents arrived for the evening performance, bringing the number of people up to 23,000!

The final performance was spectacular – singing, dancing, actions and lights.

An enormous sound from 8000 young voices; It was an amazing experience.
