Children engage in activities as part of Anti-Bullying Week

Skippers pupils had the nationwide Anti-Bullying Week at the very forefront of their thinking last week and were engaged in a number of activities to raise awareness.

It’s important to us here at Skippers that every child feels included and is able to be themselves, without the fear of bullying, and this year’s theme “All Different, All Equal” helped us to promote difference and equality in every aspects of the children’s lives.

Our guest speaker, Kate Daniels, ran two workshop days where our pupils were engaged with some stimulating activities covering these themes:

All the tutor groups were buzzing about the random acts of kindness activity that each child was asked to carry out throughout the week. They secretly had to ‘make someone's day’ by helping them out in any little way. They have also all started thinking and working towards creating a class agreement/charter regarding good friendships (Key Stage 1), tolerance and respect (Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3) in their classes.

A fantastic week re-emphasising the values which form such a core part of our school ethos and enjoyed by all!
