Skippers Alumni: Samuel’s Story

Samuel left Skippers in 2013 and is now studying for his A2 exams at Tonbridge School and hopes to go on to study industrial/product design at university.

Which years did you attend Skippers?
2006 - 2013

Which Senior School did you attend after Skippers?  
Tonbridge School

What have you done since leaving Skippers and what achievements are you most proud of?
I've finished my GCSEs with great grades and completed a lifeguarding course, which I have wanted to do since leaving Skippers. I will finish my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in the Summer and I represented my school in the Senior Schools Ultimate Frisbee Nationals.

What are you doing now and what do you enjoy most about it?
I'm studying for my A2 exams in the summer and am particularly enjoying design and technology and have done since it was introduced to me in Year 8 at Skippers. I wish to go on to study industrial/product design at University.

In what ways did Skippers prepare you for life?
Skippers taught me to go into every situation in life confidently and with an open mind and to believe in your abilities.

What is your fondest memory of your time at Skippers?
Either the Jersey trip or playing hockey on top quad.
