Senior Choir go out and sing in the Community

Senior Choir go out and sing in the Community

What a fantastic time our Senior Choir has had over the past two weeks and what a lot of pleasure they have given to so many people in the community. Miss Marsden’s senior pupils, together with three volunteer prefects from Year 8, were the first out and I know that the residents of Rusthall Lodge really enjoyed being entertained, and joining in with, some seasonal music.

Mayfield Late Night shoppers enjoyed listening to our choir and we received lots of positive comments from passersby.  Heathfield Christmas shoppers were next on our list the following lunchtime, our singing accompanied by some very nifty footwork from Mrs Hammond and Mrs Walker! Then off we flew to Skippers to entertain at the Christmas Fayre.

With just five days’ notice, we discovered we were to be the only choir at the Five Ashes Community Carol Service. The photocopier flew into overdrive producing extra carols so as not to disappoint. Even with just a third of the Choir present, our singers did us proud.

A heartfelt thank you to all our singers for your hard work learning all the music, to Caroline for producing copious song-sheets and to you, the parents, for transporting your children to all these events! It was worth it.
