Promoting Positive Behaviour - Parents’ Workshop

Posted: 20th May 2015

In the early evening of 14th May, a merry group of parents, teachers and Early Years practitioners gathered to enjoy wine, nibbles and conversation at Skippers. There was, however, a serious purpose behind the frivolity!

We all came together to attend a workshop on behaviour; our children's behaviour, that is. Or so we thought. We parents sometimes need to be reminded that our children's behaviour reflects our own. Lena Engel, a well known and respected authority on young children, was our guest and speaker. In a very kind, calm and non-patronising way, Lena gave us the 'top tips' from her 'Positive Parenting Program'. However long you have been a parent, there is always something to learn or remember; and being among friends as you do so makes the experience richer (and more fun!)

Thank you so much, Lena, for coming to Skippers to share your wisdom and experience. We hope to welcome you back very soon!
