Pentathlon at Skippers

Posted: 15th June 2016 | Category: Sports

On one of the rare beautiful sunny afternoons this term we hosted our 7th Pentathlon with Ardingly Prep and St Ronan's.
The five Athletic events were 100m, 800m, Long jump, Shot and throwing the cricket/rounders ball. Two boys and two  girls competed from each school for each age group (U10, U12, U14).
All competitors displayed fantastic athletic prowess and most importantly great sportsmanship.
Special congratulations must go to Tom Frost who not only broke the County U14 record for Long jump but also came first overall for the U14 boys. Congratulations too must go to Jasmine Remington for coming 3rd in the U14 girls and Kyra Sharma who came 3rd in the U12 girls.
A huge thank you  to Ian Ritchie for his sterling work on the day and organisation beforehand in making the event happen.
