Off Screen Day for Mental Health Week

Off Screen Day for Mental Health Week

Children's Mental Health Week 2021 took place from 1-7 February 2021. This year's theme was Express Yourself. At Skippers, we thought that it was more important than ever to recognise the importance of finding ways to share feelings, thoughts and ideas through creativity throughout the week.

On Thursday 4th February, children on and off-site participated in an Off-Screen day. They created their own timetables full of activities especially chosen to make them feel good. From bird watching activities to baking bread, it was brilliant to check-in with the children throughout the day to get updates on their progress and how they were making the most of their screen-free day. 

The day was a huge success and a well-earned break from Chromebooks in these strange times. You can see just some of the brilliant activities that the children took part in in the photo gallery attached...
