Just to remind you we would love to receive preloved books.  Thank you to Matthew, Milly and their Mum for not only giving us their book but also writing our first book reviews for Framed by Frank Cottrell Boyce. If you like ninja turtles, Renaissance Art, Crisp eating sheep you will love this.

I enjoyed this book because it is very original. You'll like this book if you like : art, crime,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, cars or football. The story is funny and unexpected, there are sad bits but there are more funny than sad bits. You'll find out a sheep's favourite crisp flavour and why you should always take a zebra on the train. I recommend that you look up the paintings in the Internet to enjoy it more.

I liked the way the book was written, and that it mentioned the Ninja Turtles. Also I like that it mentions famous pieces of art and how they affected people's personalities in the village. It is very exciting and thrilling. My favourite character was Lester because he got confused about Ninja Turtles and artists and my favourite art work was the grotesque old woman because it was so funny.

"Matthew and Milly have each done a quick review of what they enjoyed about it and why they would recommend it. We shared it as a bedtime book and were all very keen to get to the next chapter to find out what happens next and we also enjoyed looked up each work of art on the Internet the next day. I have to say, of all the books we have shared, this is the one that we have talked about most. There are so many different themes to think about. The style is very engaging and easy to read and the chapters are quite short, which helps a lot I think! "

Anyone who would like to review a book they've enjoyed reading please email Anabelle.
