Mothers vs Girls Rounders
Posted: 14th June 2016 | Category: Sports, Year 6, Year 7, Year 8
Thank you to all those mothers, fathers and sisters who turned up on Saturday to give the girls a run for their money on the Rounders pitch. With big teams of 13 a side, the gaps between fielders were rather few and far between making it difficult for batters to avoid the eager army of participants on the field. Mr Remington simply hit over their heads while others including Anoushka and Libby found sneaky gaps along the backward hit line! The Skippers Hill girls, who were a young team this year, fielded valiantly taking full advantage of a slight lack of post stumping knowledge to top up their score while the mothers, father and fearsome band of older sisters hit a few whoppers and took some lovely catches! I confess to instigating a positional jiggle around of big sisters and mothers, but I think everyone will agree the final score which was a draw of 14-14 and the fun which was evidently had by all made for an exciting and satisfying outcome! Thank you all for providing such fun to a sunny Saturday of Rounders!
