Mothers v. Daughters Netball Match

On 25th March, the U13 and U11/U12 Netball teams took part in the Mothers v. Daughters Netball Match, which has been an annual event at Skippers for nearly 30 years.

We welcomed 10 mums to the courts and played two matches.

The U13 team (Year 8) played first. They are an excellent team and have won most of their matches this term. They got the better of the mums, winning 9 - 2.

The second team to play was an U11/U12 team. Being that much shorter, they had a harder time and the mums used their extra stature to advantage. The mums won this match 4 - 1.

It was generally agreed that the highlight of the afternoon was tea, with a magnificent spread provided by the kitchen.

There were a few allusions to some stiffness the following day but this didn’t detract from what was an excellent afternoon of Netball.
