Miss Page Loves Being Back at Skippers

I have absolutely loved my first half term at Skippers Hill! It is so great to be back at the school I attended myself as a child and life at Skippers is just as wonderful as I remembered. The Year 2 children in my class settled into their new routines incredibly quickly and I am so proud of the progress they have made already!

We have loved exploring the topic ‘Castles, Knights and Dragons’ through our different lessons and have learnt lots of really exciting facts and explored many different stories. I have been particularly impressed with their positive and resilient attitudes towards their learning and many of them have pushed themselves to be ‘Challenge Seekers’ - a skill that we are all exploring as a whole school.

It is very clear that the children all love the enriching extra curricular activities that Skippers has to offer and a particular favourite is our Woodland Explorers session! It’s so great that the children have that outdoor, creative opportunity in the woods where they take part in all sorts of fun filled activities. I was also so impressed with their musical performances in the Harvest Festival! Their passion and competence for singing shone through in their performances and I was so proud of them!

I hope the children all have a very well deserved rest over the half term break and I am very much looking forward to the magical lead up to Christmas when we return!
