Gymnastics Clubs Prepare for Upcoming Inter House Competitions
Posted: 17th January 2014 | Category: Sports
This term the pupils in Gymnastic Club are involved in learning routines and vaults for their Inter House Competition, early next term.
Last term, we spent our time working on the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards and we have made great collective progress with the scheme. There are eight basic awards, with 8 being the lowest and 1 being the highest. For those who complete the awards, there are then Bronze, Silver and Gold to tackle. We achieved one at Level 5, six at Level 4, four at Level 3, seven at Level 2 and five at Level 1.
Special mention must be made of Ellen D J and Florence G who achieved the Bronze award. Finally, the first person to achieve a Silver award at Skippers was Ben W, who must be congratulated on his hard work and ultimate success. There is a sizeable gap in standard between Bronze and Silver and Ben has been determined to reach his goal. Well done, Ben!
