Girls’ determination reaps rewards in cricket

Girls’ cricket has been well and truly launched at Skippers Hill. The techniques of bowling and batting are hard to grasp but with a determined effort and lots of enthusiasm to learn something new, our girls are definitely getting there! Each year group has had the opportunity to learn from the coaching of both our internal and external expert coaches and is experiencing the game through match play including tournaments and triangulars.

The U13 team came third in the inaugural Bedes Girls’ Cricket Festival and the U11/10 team won the plate at the well attended Claremont Pairs Cricket Tournament placing Skippers in a good position at the start of this exciting move towards girls’ cricket!
