First Goblin Car Built at Skippers

First Goblin Car Built at Skippers

Four of the Year 6 boys have been enjoying doing some engineering work after school on Mondays.

The Goblin car is an electrically powered go-cart which was delivered to us in a box in many parts. Over the last ten weeks, the boys have used the various tools needed to turn a box of bits into a go-cart!

Nuts, bolts, electrical components and greasy wheel bearings all came together to create a vehicle that, much to their delight, they were able to drive around the playground.

They had to navigate around a slalom course, a straight line speed test and even managed not to knock down all the cones. The boys had a great time and we are looking forward to the next session after Christmas!
