Early Years Shine on Stage

Early Years Shine on Stage

Our very youngest children took to the stage on Tuesday 25th June, to perform for their parents and families.

The gym was full of smiling faces as Kindergarten took their places. The show was put together to reflect the children's own interests, so the audience watched in delight as Peter Rabbit and his family, Mr MacGregor the gardener, and a chorus line of beautiful flowers, trees, butterflies and cheeky vegetables acted out the story.

Parents and families loved the singing, dancing and energetic hopping around the stage, and it was wonderful to see such confidence and self-assurance in children as young as two years old!

The children in Reception then took their places and treated us to a programme of poems and songs reflecting their latest topic, 'Bees and Bugs'. They also recited 'Cats Sleep Anywhere' by Eleanor Farjeon, and told the story of the Little Red Hen with great expression and actions.

The audience was fantastic, showing appreciation for the children's performance, and great participation in the 'Baby Shark' finale!

Thank you to all the parents for your warm support, and to the Early Years team for their dedication and enthusiasm. It was a heartwarming way to celebrate and share the children's achievements at the end of a splendid Summer Term.
