Early Years enjoy the Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Posted: 20th June 2018 | Category: Kindergarten, Reception, Reception Initiatives

"If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise..."
One of our surprises was that the sun shone until we had packed up and returned to school!
Reception, Kindergarten and their guests, plus an assortment of teddies large and small, all made their way down the sunny slopes to the picnic site last week. We were joined by new pupils, local families, and many of our parents. The Early Years children all look forward to this annual tradition as the first of our fun summer events.
There were toys to climb, throw, bounce and spin on. The bubble machine was much loved and the teddy bear hunt revealed a new generation of Skippers bears for the children to take home.
Wendy and Hazel magically transported a wonderful picnic down to us. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more - the Early Years children or the Seniors who came down to help us! They had earned it though, having allowed themselves to be climbed on by a herd of small people!
Thank you to all those who joined us - we hope you had as much fun as we did.
