Bushcraft club prepares for hibernation until next year!
Posted: 16th October 2017 | Category: Woodland Explorers
The season for all those Ray Mears wannabees has finally come to an end as the Bushcraft team prepare for hibernation until next summer.
In the short time since September, we have been oh so busy!!
We have learned about fire safety, how to build a fire and even how to use a flint and steel to light a fire!!
We have cooked popcorn, baked apples, made blackberry and elderberry cordial and let’s not forget the marshmallows!!
We have hunted for bugs and minibeasts and even built them a 5* hotel. (All bookings in advance please!!).
One week, we had our own mini Go Ape challenge across the crocodile-infested swamp followed by a lazy few minutes being swung in a hammock. All good bushcrafters need to rest sometime!!
Have a look at our gallery to see just some of our fun activities.
