Name: Ellen Parsons
Age:  21
Time at Skippers: 1996 - 2004

My name is Ellen Parsons and I am 21 now so it does seem a while ago that I was at Skippers; however it is a part of my life that I shall never forget as it really was instrumental in shaping who I am today!

I started Skippers in Year 1 as a nervous little thing that wouldn’t say boo to a goose and cried every morning without fail after my mum had dropped me off!  With the help of Tim and Mrs Pennington, however, my timidness soon flew out of the door. They gave me the confidence which has allowed me to get to where I am today, in my final year studying towards a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies and planning for my trip to Thailand to work for the Human Development Foundation.

As well as doing wonders for my confidence, Skippers provided me with so many lovely memories, from serving cakes at the Jersey café to singing along in one of Mrs. Bridger’s productions and trekking along the Dorset coast. It is a time of my life that whenever I think back to, I can’t help but smile!
