Year 7 Soak Up French Culture

Year 7 Soak Up French Culture

Our very adaptable and enthusiastic Year 7 pupils had a wonderful trip to France last weekend. The lovely weather certainly contributed to our most action-packed Le Touquet visit yet.

There was a really positive buzz in the pre-dawn air as we gathered at Skippers on Friday morning; throughout the trip, the Year 7s threw themselves into every challenge with equally positive energy. Everyone would probably choose different highlights, but one would certainly include seeing the supportive side of the children as they encouraged each other around the treetop Accrobranche. A close second would be their curiosity in the French market as they experienced French food and practiced their French on the locals.

A new addition to the trip this year was Nausicaa, the huge seafront aquarium, which had us all awestruck at the variety and beauty of ocean life. On both days of our visit, the vast sandy beaches and dunes were the perfect place to run off some of the adrenaline and croissants.

After the camping at Skippers at the beginning of the term and now this trip to France, it is evident that the year group has gelled really well and great new friendships have been built.

Finally, a huge thank you to Frances and Mr Tier for their humour and patience throughout! Watch our video below to see some highlights of the trip and see all the photos here.
