Years 3 & 4 Production of ‘The Keymaster’
Posted: 22nd March 2016 | Category: Drama
‘’HISTORY IS BORING’’ or so say the first words of the opening song in the Year 3 and 4 production ‘The Keymaster’ but the performance was far from boring! Transported back in time by The Keymaster , the pupils took the audience to some well - known periods of history including 1066 , Tudor times , the Industrial Revolution and the second world war. We were entertained by some superb singing and acting as well as a dance routine from some militant suffragettes, clamouring for their right to vote. Talent and enthusiasm abounded on stage as the youngsters visited the capture of Guy Fawkes, a domestic drama in Victorian England and some smugglers hiding loot from the excise men. The play even took a peek into the future where the children are reminded to look after their world for future generations……. history, ethics and great fun…..what more could we want? Maybe just a visit from a disorientated moth to add to the entertainment!
Well done to all our Year 3 and 4 pupils and thank you to everyone who helped.
